Previous winners

Saracens win over Northampton coupled with Leinster's defeat at the Ospreys sees the Heineken Cup semi-finalists take over as Europe's top-ranked side. Meanwhile the Ospreys shoot up 6 places to 21st.

With Munster crashing 5 places to 8th after a home defeat to Glasgow (+1 to 9th), other teams climbed the rankings. Toulon's victory in Bordeaux lifts them 2 notches to 3rd, one place ahead of Ulster who hammered Connacht. Bath move up 3 places to 5th after their 'hard-fought' win against Gloucester.

Montpellier's win in a high-scoring match over Grenoble helps them climb 3 places to 13th, one place behind Racing who registered their 4th win on the trot.
